Max Steuer, M.D. is an experienced board certified neurosurgeon practicing in Atlanta, GA. Next, he attended Baylor College of Medicine (BCM) in Houston, Texas, where he obtained his MD and completed an internship in General Surgery under the renowned Dr. Michael Debakey.
Shortly after, he fulfilled his Residency in Neurosurgery at Baylor College of Medicine Affiliated Hospitals, including M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Methodist Hospital, Harris County Public Hospital (Ben Taub), Michael E. Debakey VA Medical Center, and Texas Children's Hospital.
Dr. Steuer has served as Chief of Surgery at Northside Hospital as well as section head of Neurosurgery at Northside Hospital and St. Joseph’s Hospital. He routinely participates in continuing education courses and training to further his knowledge and provide his patients with the most cutting-edge technologies and treatments.
Certifications include National Board of Medical Examiners (NBME) Diplomat, American Board of Neurological Surgeons (ABNS), and Georgia Board of Medical Examiners.
Dr. Steuer has been recognized by Castle Connoly and Atlanta Magazine as a Top Doctor since 2007. He has also been chosen as the Kaiser Permanente Community Physician of the Year.
Deeply involved in the community, he served as Co-Founder of Healthcare Careers Exploration and Immersion Program for Atlanta High School Students from 2013 to present. He has also been a, Continuing Education Instructor for a Course on ACDF Surgery for Worker's Compensation Attorneys Case Managers and Adjusters. He served on the Mag Mutual Physicians Claims Committee 2015-2021.
